Where are you located?

We are located at 2837 Hwy. 24 in Newport, NC in the Pender Park Fuel Market Shopping Center. We are in the same shopping center as Franks Pizza and next door to Whispering Pines RV Park. We will be glad to fill your propane tanks at our LP Filling Station. 

My tank has expired. Will you fill it?

Per Federal law, it is illegal to fill portable DOT tanks that have expired. Expired tanks must be recertified to be put back in use.  If you have a 30 lb., 40 lb., or  100 lb. tank, we will be glad to recertify it for you for a nominal fee. We do not requalify 20# Gas Grill tanks and they should be exchanged.

Do you install gas lines?

Yes, we are a NC licensed Fuel Gas Piping Contractor # 34615 and fully insured. If you are wanting to install  gas lines for stoves, hot water heaters, dryers, grills, and fireplaces, we will be glad to do a site survey and give you a free estimate of the costs. We provide residential and commercial service. 

Do you lease propane tanks?

We do NOT lease propane tanks.  We can however set you up with a customer owned 100 lb. tank, filled with gas, installed with proper regulator, and leak check your lines for hazards. Give us a call and we will be glad to explain your options.  Our service area is limited for this service. Unfortunately, we do not service travel trailers, campers, RV's, campgrounds and RV parks.

What is Connect Service and a Safety Leak Check?

By law, if our technician connects a propane gas tank to your home or business gas piping system or if you run out of gas, we are required to perform a gas pressure test to check for leaks. THIS IS THE LAW! The leak test must be performed by a qualified technician and documented. An adult must be present when this connection is made, and a leak check is performed. The technician will check for external leaks, check all gas appliances that they are in safe working condition, and re-light your pilot lights. If a problem is encountered, the tank will be disconnected until repairs have been made. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY! This leak check is performed each time our technician connects your tank to your home or business and there is a charge for this service. If you choose to connect the tank yourself, Soundside Gas Services LLC is not liable for any damages, errors, or issues arising from customer self-connection. Connect service only applies to connecting tanks to homes or business gas piping systems. We do not connect gas grill tanks (20 lb.) or 30 lb. tanks to portable appliances.

We serve Newport, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Salter Path, Indian Beach, Emerald Isle, Cape Carteret, Cedar Point, and Peletier. We hope in the future to expand our services to other areas of Onslow, Carteret, and Craven Counties.
