Where are you located?

We are located at 2837 Hwy. 24 in Newport, NC in the Pender Park Fuel Market Shopping Center. We are in the same shopping center as Franks Pizza and next door to Whispering Pines RV Park. We will be glad to fill your propane tanks at our LP Filling Station. 

Do you deliver and exchange gas grill tanks?

Absolutely! Your days of lugging gas grill tanks to the store to be filled or to be exchanged are over. We offer gas grill tank exchange delivered to your home, office, or business. You MUST have a tank to exchange. Just place your order online or call, and we will swap out your empty tank for a full tank. Exchange tanks MUST be in good condition, with an OPD valve, free of excessive rust, corrosion, dents, dings, gouges, and must have a sturdy collar and foot ring. Place your empty in a safe, easily accessible location at your home for easy swap. PLUS our gas grill tanks have 33% more gas than those at the exchange cage. 

My tank has expired. Will you fill it?

Per Federal law, it is illegal to fill portable DOT tanks that have expired. Expired tanks must be recertified to be put back in use.  If you have a 30 lb., 40 lb., or  100 lb. tank, we will be glad to recertify it for you for a nominal fee. We do not requalify 20# Gas Grill tanks and they should be exchanged.

Do you install gas lines?

Yes, we are a NC licensed Fuel Gas Piping Contractor # 34615 and fully insured. If you are wanting to install  gas lines for stoves, hot water heaters, dryers, grills, and fireplaces, we will be glad to do a site survey and give you a free estimate of the costs. We provide residential and commercial service. 

Do you lease propane tanks?

At this time, we do not have any tanks available for lease. We can however set you up with a customer owned 100 lb. tank, filled with gas, installed with proper regulator, and leak check your lines for hazards. Give us a call and we will be glad to explain your options.  Our service area is limited for this service. Unfortunately, we do not service travel trailers, campers, RV's, campgrounds and RV parks.

What is Connect Service and a Safety Leak Check?

By law, if our technician connects a propane gas tank to your home or business gas piping system or if you run out of gas, we are required to perform a gas pressure test to check for leaks. THIS IS THE LAW! The leak test must be performed by a qualified technician and documented. An adult must be present when this connection is made, and a leak check is performed. The technician will check for external leaks, check all gas appliances that they are in safe working condition, and re-light your pilot lights. If a problem is encountered, the tank will be disconnected until repairs have been made. THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY! This leak check is performed each time our technician connects your tank to your home or business and there is a charge for this service. If you choose to connect the tank yourself, Soundside Gas Services LLC is not liable for any damages, errors, or issues arising from customer self-connection. Connect service only applies to connecting tanks to homes or business gas piping systems. We do not connect gas grill tanks (20 lb.) or 30 lb. tanks to portable appliances. 

Do you exchange 100 lb. tanks?

In order to qualify for our 100 lb. tank exchange service, you must purchase a new tank. We do NOT exchange used, out of date, rusted, corroded, or competitors tanks. If you wish for us to connect your tank, your system will have to be evaluated to ensure it is up to code, including the tank location.  THIS IS FOR YOUR SAFETY.  As a licensed gas professional, we ALWAYS will provide professional and safe installation that is by the LP Gas Code.  Our service area is limited for this service.  We do not service travel trailers, campers,  RV's,  campgrounds or RV parks. 

What is your Two Tank Installation Plan?

We will sell you two (2) 100 lb. propane tanks full of gas. We will sell you an automatic change-over regulator that will connect both tanks. We will set-up and hook up to your existing gas piping system. You will use one tank of gas. When it becomes empty, it will automatically switch over to the 2nd “reserve” tank, ensuring that you do not run out of gas. Customers must monitor usage and are encouraged to check their tanks periodically and if one is empty, you must call for an exchange delivery for another full tank.  Our service area is limited for this service. We do not service travel trailers, campers, RV's, campgrounds or RV Parks. 

Do you offer automatic tank exchange delivery service?

Yes, we offer this service to approved customers on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly delivery exchange service. This is for customer owned 100 lb. tanks that are approved customers. Call us for more details. 

What area do you serve?

We serve Newport, Morehead City, Atlantic Beach, Pine Knoll Shores, Salter Path, Indian Beach, Emerald Isle, Cape Carteret, Cedar Point, and Peletier. We hope in the future to expand our services to other areas of Onslow, Carteret, and Craven Counties.
